Care from someone who
truly listens.
Low Tide Counseling is a space to talk about sex, intimacy, and relationships—without shame, pressure, or judgment.
Katelyn Wilson, LCPC, clinician & owner.
Low Tide Counseling is the practice of Katelyn Wilson, who provides individual and couples counseling in person in Helena, Montana and virtually across Montana, Arizona, and Idaho.
Low Tide Counseling has been a dream of mine for many years—one that was a long time in the making. At its heart is a simple hope: that every client feels seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. I believe the hard work of therapy can only happen with people we trust, so finding the right fit matters deeply to me.
As a sexuality professional, I help women and couples work through relationship challenges, sexual concerns, and life transitions—including the impact of sexual trauma, family dynamics and boundaries, perfectionism, and the complexities of midlife. With a warm, compassionate, sex-positive approach, I support clients in deepening self-understanding, reconnecting with their authentic desires, strengthening their relationships, and cultivating greater intimacy, confidence, and fulfillment.
You bring a lifetime of knowing your own story—and that knowledge is where our work begins. I see therapy as a partnership: I'm there to listen closely, ask the questions that open new doors, and offer perspective when it's useful, while you stay in charge of where we go. And if picking up the phone feels like the hardest part, that makes sense—it takes real courage to let someone in. Session by session, we can gently untangle what's been weighing on you, make sense of old patterns, and move toward greater clarity in your relationships and within yourself. It would be a privilege to take that journey with you.
Most therapists have stories, and I have one too. I've faced struggles of my own, and those experiences have shaped the empathy and compassion I bring to this work—helping me truly connect with the people I serve. For the past 11 years I've worked in the mental health community: advocating for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking; supporting children and families in a school-based setting; and serving as a therapist at an eating disorder clinic with adolescents and adults in an intensive outpatient program. My education includes undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Montana State University and a Master's Degree in Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling, also from Montana State University.
When I'm not in the office, you'll likely find me traveling, curled up with a good book or movie, on a beach, playing tennis, or spending time with my chihuahuas.

Baylee Rook, SWLC
My work and education background is diverse, but it has one common thread: I enjoy creating deep connections with those around me. This led me to pursue my Master's in Social Work from Carroll College, where I gained experience working with food insecurity, disordered eating, and body image. I currently work with people who are 16+ and experiencing disordered eating, body image distress, anxiety, OCD, life transitions, and relationship struggles.
My approach to therapy is friendly, casual, and always based in curiosity and respect. I believe healing happens when we are able to show up as our most authentic selves and are met with compassion and non-judgment. I think therapy should be supportive and empowering, and while it can be hard work or bring up discomfort, it can also include laughter and joy. My aim is to help my clients feel more grounded, resilient, and connected to what matters most in their lives.
When I am not in the office, you can find me exploring outside with my husband and three dogs, daydreaming, treasure hunting at the thrift store, or trying a new recipe.
Baylee is based out of Missoula and offers in-person and telehealth sessions to teens, adults, and couples across Montana.

KayDee Evans
My education and professional journey have been shaped by a genuine interest in understanding the human experience, and helping others navigate the complexities of life and build meaningful experiences. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live their life with presence and purpose. I also believe that we are the experts on our own experiences. Sometimes, though, it doesn’t feel that way, and we need support. Many of life’s struggles come with anxiety and can affect our mood, relationships, and ability to function the way we want to. These challenges can also shape how we see ourselves and how we connect with the people around us. What I love about counseling is that it offers the togetherness we need to slow down, make sense of what we’re experiencing, and figure out what comes next.
My style is warm and collaborative, direct and relatable. I find it important to balance the exploration of the historical context of our lives that shape our current experience with tangible, practical skills and information that support value-based decision-making, emotional regulation, and improved functioning.
While I support a variety of individuals and couples in living with greater purpose and connection, my primary areas of focus include emerging adulthood and identity development for individuals 17+, relationship dynamics—including marriage and romantic relationships, family and stepfamily relationships, family of origin, and parent-child relationships—and personal development for both men and women.
I earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of North Dakota and went on to receive a master’s degree in Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling from Montana State University. Both have afforded me the opportunity to work with individuals, children, and families in our community in various community mental health positions for nearly 20 years.
When I’m not in the office, I’m probably hanging out with my family and dog, tootling around the house or yard, or watching terrible reality tv.

What you can expect.
The same values shape every session, whether we’re meeting in Helena or online.
Collaborative
You are the expert on your own life. We set the direction together, and you stay in the driver’s seat of your own care.
Curious, not prescriptive
There’s no script for how your intimacy or relationships should look. We get curious about what you actually want, not what you’ve been told to want.
Nonjudgmental
Whatever you bring—questions, fears, desires, or things you’ve never said out loud—you’ll be met with warmth and without judgment.

You don’t have to have the right words.
Talking about sex and intimacy can feel vulnerable. You might be feeling stuck, distant from a partner, disconnected from your body, or simply curious about what could feel different.
At Low Tide, we start where you are. Our work is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that being truly heard can make room for change.
